June 2007 - March 2008 Mfuse Ltd - Java Developer

Mfuse is the leading expert in mobile-enabling technology including all types of applications and websites designed to be viewed on mobile phones.

Building Midlets that communicate with a server applications running on JBoss that in turn communicated with APIs of companies such as Ladbrokes, GTech, 888.com

Building from scratch of a fully customisable component user interface for Java Mobile Edition, that supported all the components that are available in Swing, but is a lot more lightweight and simple to create themes for, but can also be extended for any desired behaviour, look or animation, to run on Java enabled mobile phones. This was used for creating all the new midlets for the entire company. Also took part in a huge amount of bug fixig to do with all parts of the system.

July 2006 - June 2007 Game Account Global Limited - Java Developer

GameAccount is a online skill gaming company that markets its games to companies like William Hill, Paddy Power, SkyBet.

Building and maintaining the web customer services application, this allowed the customer services people to perform all kind of tasks from crediting accounts, monitoring who was on the site, what games were being played, viewing game history for each game and tournament, approving deposits being made, performing withdrawals for the players. The system also monitored all the sites activity to try and detect fraud or money laundry and shut down accounts when it was detected. Also there was a graphical editor for all the site messages, and news articles, and allowed them to be translated by the translators. I was the only person working on this project.

Technologies Used:

Front end was designed with html, css, javascript, ajax & swing applets. Back end was jsps, servlets, Struts ,tiles, JDBC all running in JBoss and the applets connected to quickserver.


April 2006 – July 2006 Queen Mary, University of London

Java Developer, making swing and very graphical applet games for the CS4FUN university website. About 5 full games made in total. Games can be found on the http://www.cs4fn.org website.

Additional information


I really enjoy being part of a team, and work very well in one. I am very organised and self motivated and can keep to deadlines.


At my university I was involved in the role playing society. I was also a very active member of the physics society (Psi-Star) and I won the best student one year. I was a member of the rowing team of the university, and also made a promotion video for them.

Outside of university I really enjoy skiing and live music.


I am fluent in Russian.
